Alva was built on a single conviction: that true luxury is not an accumulation of things, but the clarity that comes when everything unnecessary has been removed.
Set within forty acres of ancient cork forest in the Alentejo plain, the hotel exists at the edge of two worlds — the wild, unpredictable landscape outside, and the quiet, considered world within its walls.
We offer eleven rooms. No pool bar, no spa menu of forty treatments, no organised activities — unless you want them. What we offer is rarer: unstructured time, generous space, and the kind of silence that actually restores.
